| jojobear 2004-04-09 ch 1, | abuseOkay quick note, guys: I see that those of you who are reading "The Affluent and Destitute" are quickly seeing similarities. To quash anymore guesses, I will say that this story was going to be originally "Part II" of the A/D but then the story grew by itself so quickly that it was pretty much unrelated and could stand on its own as a story, only with some of the characters related. Will reading this story give away the ending of the A/D? Certainly not. The only thing that will be spoiled for you is who ended up marrying who, but you won't have a hint of how it happened, which, to me, is actually the best part of all. You know that old saying, "The fun of it all is getting there..." or something like that. And so, yes, Amy is David's daughter, a feminine version of him, so...basically, a Rebecca, but with a real personality as opposed to the submissive little maid. |

I have but one complain: the Duke's amazing ability to change the colour of his eyes. It wouldn't matter were it not for the fact that emphasis is placed upon them to communicate how attractive he is. This is a superb story, and I eagerly anticipate a prompt update! |
