I've never purged, but I did/do have anorexia and cut, and the feeling is universal with all these problems. It wasn't written in my favourite style, but was well written, nevertheless. You summed it all up perfectly in the last three lines.

It's hard. When people hurt themselves, they do it to feel better but then feel worse for hurting everyone around them, and for doing something wrong, or what have you.
And the religious ones feel that they've "sinned" or "broken the Rule of Three," or "created bad Karma."
It's a terrible thing...really.
I hope you're not making yourself sick...
