I agree w\ that other reviewer it would make a nice story. Very interesting. I liked the pointy hat line, it added some characterization, which you don't see enough in some poetry. I also loved the hell's gate line, it also helps me to picture the circumstances. That was really good!

This is a really great poem. I feel sorry for the small mage. It sounds like it would belong in a story. Keep writing!
