I can't believe this hasn't got any reviews. Well here we go:
This has a lovely feel. I love these kind of dark stories. Reminds me of "The Wheel of Time" series. Great use of language, although I'm not sure "gorgeous" fits very well into the kind of time frame the rest of the language of this is in. I'd use words like "handsome" or even "beautiful" for describing an attractive man.
