| C. N. Sweatt 2004-07-20 ch 1, | Ivy, Okay, okay. So, normally I wouldn't spill on the story, but you ARE one the readers that have been w/ me from the first. AND, you had the right idea when you looked up his name and stuff. I actually changed the name I was going to give him and decided for Alister. I took the spelling of Alastor (which was the originally picked name) and changed it to what you see for Gavin's name now, Alister. This is what the text said about the name from the site I got it. Alastor- An alastor is a tormenting spirit or a Nemesis. Percy Bysshe Shelly wrote a poem (Alastor or The Spirit of Solitude - 1816), which warned idealists that if they are always searching for an ideal love, the world will be their tormentor, and they will die a lonely death. Alastor is known by Zoroaster as the "executioner," and as Azazel to Origin. In the infernal hierarchy, he is the Nemesis. The ancients called evil spirits "alastores." --And that's it. Now that I think about it, it's a morbid little site that I got it from. BUT, I had to reply to you now b/c I'm happy. I'm VERY happy that you went out 1st thing to try and figure out Gavin's name. That's the kind of reaction I wanted from people. Course, then again, Ivy. Most aren't as perceptive, motivated, (Oh, let's just be frank about this) or SMART as you are, SO, I'm probably gonna wiggle this information in their somehow. Well, maybe. Maybe not...I don't know. Nevertheless, I once again thank you for your interest and for still hanging around! Pasta Luego, Candace P.S. I liked "Acceleration" by the way. Ah, frantic, controlled chaos. My favorite. |
| MistrissD 2004-02-26 ch 1, | This is so awesome, I love the one word lines, and how you broke up the poetry to write mulitple lines. Crazy and full of insanity, but that makes everything 10 times better |
