the part i liked best was "The burgandy rooms that so tempt me and more,/ They call from your eye-windows boarded and nailed." This whole idea of wanting to see inside someone's mind, especially someone who guards themself well, is appealing because who of us hasn't wanted to know the thousand thoughts behind that particular look, that shade of colour in the eye. the references to burgandy, rose-tempera, ruby - they seem to provide this background shade for all that you say.
The first half of the poem felt stronger than the last half.
