When I read the chorus, it seemed like an earlier version of GLoria Gaynor's "I will survive" the "so go on and goodbye, just walk on out that door... please just leave now..." well the WHOLE chorus actually, but yeah. It seems like the narrator was still attached but in denial and *wanting* to move on... excellent!
