That was really good and spoke volumes on how society fears and hates what it does not understand. It's sad how with two words,a parent could look at their own child so differently, or how a friend you've known for years and suddenly hate you because society tells them to. Great work.

This is very powerful. And, though I cannot say that I understand your pain, I do sympathize. I do not see how your getting married will affect the relationships of other married couples. I do not see how you kissing your girlfriend in public will threaten my relationship with my boyfriend. I do not understand why I need to be protected from you, why my marriage needs to be protected from the evil your vows would place on it. Ah, well, I ramble. Forgive me; my feelings are strong on this subject. Brava.

This poem is so strong. It's brilliant, it says my exact feelings. What's so wrong about gays/lesbians? I don't think i'll ever get that either. A lot a people need to read this poem. i hope you keep writing.
