This meager poem had such influence and charm. The rhyming (of especially line three and six) was a nice touch, though not cliche. It's kind of like saying words are double-bladed. We remember the worst of them, and the best of them. Nice work.

This is very true. I never did like the little rhyme "Sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me blah blah blah" Nobody knows exactly how bad words hurt.
