I got a little teary-eyed on this one Celest..very moving. I wish all parents would think this way about their children. Not many kids are that lucky though. Anyway...off to review your other piece..

This is a wonderful piece of writing.
Although I am all but a teenager and cannot feel what a mother should be feeling, this has touched me in ways that is indescribably warm.
From your writing, I am able to feel a mother's love and compassion for her child. It mesmerizes me how you are able to capture every intrinsic detail of a child and how it is able to touch the mother's heart so greatly.
"There is no finer gift
Than that of a child,
An extension of yourself" ~ I love this line. When I was young, my Mother used to tell me that her blood runs in my veins, another reason why she loves me so. This is probably the reason why the line strike me the most.
