abuseAh, shades of gray...impossible for many people to understand. I wholheartedly hear and agree with you on every point. Very well done.

ch 1,
abusewhen a person needs to look at a situation rationally, and explore all sides, that's when the "gray" areas come in, but generally people don't have the time or the effort to really think in general, every day sort of situations. while in a perfect world there would be no labels and everyone would simply consider you what you really were, the real world isn't like that. just correct someone if they get you wrong.

ch 1,
abuseLabelling is just another function of human language. When you go to McDonald's, you don't say "I want a slightly grilled meat patty topped with fetid lettuce, artificial tomato-based paste, milk derived cheese substance, and pickles juxtaposed between two slices of starch-loaded wheat product wrapped in a non-biodegradable synthetic plastic sheet." You say "I want a hamburger" despite the fact that it contains no ham whatsoever. See? We make up convenient names for everything, because describing them in detail would take too long. Labelling makes it easier for everyone to communicate.
Also, there's no such thing as a "religionist".
