letylyf 2007-06-05 . chapter 23Interesting. And funny, definitely very funny. You come up with a lot of cool ideas and your writing could be awesome if you just cleaned up the grammar a bit. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this very much, and I will be reading the third one soon. Well done! |
Alteng 2005-06-05 . chapter 23Hey, and did Safia really seriously think that Nyte would give up his position? The counsel members were funny. Two points for Nyte, zero for Greeb! It is a wonder the old boy remained working at the castle.
It is a sad ending, but most middle stories are like that. It gives you lots to straighten out in the next story. |
Alteng 2005-06-05 . chapter 22I still get a kick out of Nyte and Ki-lins. Ah, it takes so little to entertain little minds.
Ah, and Rugo got into the school he wanted. That's great, but I think I knew that from the third story. I guess that kind of makes sense with the chapter title and all.
And what a happy ttrio of Nyte, Safia, and Dim living together. It is a wonder that they didn't kill each other. |
Alteng 2005-06-05 . chapter 21Nice irony with the "His Majesty", but you knew that. That was pretty neat at the beginning of the chapter about Nyte's dream and what not. No wonder the boy doesn't like to sleep, and I bet he could have eaten a Ki-lin when he woke up.
Safia needs to get over the Rupe thing. Hey! It really wasn't Nyte's fault that Rupe got himself killed. Being unconscious and not saving the gnome and being conscious and helping the pynules along is two totally different things. |
Alteng 2005-06-04 . chapter 20This was a really nicely done chapter! A lot of action! Poor Rupe! Mindric knew where to hit the fellow where it hurts, although I know that Jilli survives for the third story. Hey! Pynules are not known for their truthfulness. But it does seem like the only way that Rupe would be provoked into saving Nyte. The death's debt has been paid.
Yeah, the chapter was a messy one, but how else can you do this. an amusing little thought for you. I watch a anime called "Case Closed". It is kind of a childish Sherlock Holmes kind of story. In the mystery story for this Friday morning, Conan points out that the suspect, who turned out to be the murderer immediately knew that the victim was dead, because while the others in the room wanted to call an ambulance, he wanted the police called. It is one of those things, where you hope that the victim is still alive.
Poor Rupe. i'm certain he died blaming himself for Jilli's death, although he has a smile on his face. |
Alteng 2005-06-04 . chapter 19Oh, Nossira is okay. She does remind me of an 8 year version of myself. I always thought I could take on the world then.
Gee, Nyte is getting courageous and he cares about someone!! will woinders never cease!!
So why did the pynule gag Dim and Safia if they wanted to lead Nyte into a trap? It seems like a head on attack in the first place would have been more logical.
Rupe sould have know that deaths happen around Nyte, even though Nyte doesn't mean for it to happen or not. So, shut up, Rupe!
Mindric has a ways to go to caught up with Nyte's body count! :) |
Alteng 2005-06-04 . chapter 18I have read three chapters today, and tomorrow should finish out this story. It's been fun! And I found out that in folklore that Judel is an evil fairy. Whoa! I didn't know that!
Anyway, to the chapter . . .
Oh my, what a mess Safia and Dim have gotten themselves into!! I still want a pynule as a pet! They seem rather nifty! The pynules needed to sing a song while taking their victims along.
Ah, Nyte is almost tolerable to Clorissa. |
Alteng 2005-06-03 . chapter 16I have hit the two crucial chapters for that third story. Gee, that's a bummer that they can't remember! So, Kel wants some of that liquid!! |
Alteng 2005-06-03 . chapter 15I've been off for two days, so I haven't read much, but I have two chapters to cover.
This chapter makes the third story make more sense. I did wonder about the communication with the rats thing.
And yes, Nyte will most likely laugh when Dim dies. There is a folktale about a man who married a fairy, who laughed at funerals . . . but that is a different story altogether! |
Alteng 2005-06-01 . chapter 14Given that I have read the third story, I think I know the answer to that one! Anyway, for once, Nyte really has a real reason to hate someone. It is worse to kill someone that trusts you.
Yeah, Dim comes off good. I hate to think as to why the village is turning against him because of this Carmish. I would think it is because he has that weird disease spoke of in the third story, and people in general don't like what they don't understand. Dim and Nyte should have made an interesting pair because of common grounds. Oh well, I know that Safia is not going to turn against him either, and this would explain what he is doing up North. |
Alteng 2005-06-01 . chapter 13Boyfriend Indeed! She should have smacked Nyte when she found him. Hey! He could have propagated the rumor after all!
I like that the poor fellow was afraid of the rain. I have been hit by some truely nasty raindrops in my time. You did the divination thing quite well. I liked how Nyte lied about it all, but Leb was able to tell it all, but she was a bit quick with the murderer thing. Of course, Nyte doesn't look or act like the innocent bystander in this. |
Alteng 2005-06-01 . chapter 12Nossira is just too cute!!
I don't know about how lax the elves ascted around their prisoners, but as you point out through Rupe, there was no escaping, but then again, he is running round with a little girl, that if he were of the wrong inclination, he could threaten to take hostage. I have a nasty mind. Oh well, he's not.
That was easy to get them out of.
And poor Nyte, he means to do the right thing, but he screws it up all the same by misreading the bit with the map and the thallium. |
Alteng 2005-06-01 . chapter 11Not as many chapter read today, but I am still making progress!! And we are apparently reveiwing at the same time.
Anyway, to the chapter. Somehow I agree with Nyte about the two old elves. Don't you just hate it to be in line behind some old lady (or man) who just can't get their money together for their groceries . . . like they didn't know they would be paying for that stuff! Oh well, hey, I am a bit like Nyte.
I like Nyte reflecting on things. He doesn't want to like Safia, but he can't help it. If you choose to read my story about Galen from the Purple Unicorn universe, Malhavoc has the same problem. It was fun to write, and I enjoy seeing characters like that.
And nice cliffy. |
Alteng 2005-05-31 . chapter 10Yeah, Safia is being silly for thinking that Nyte would let her sleep, especially with his murderer on the same Ki-lin. Ki-lins must be awfully big critters!
I would think that Nyte might be a bit put off by so many people teaming around, too. He wasn't used to crowds, and especially crowds of people who didn't fall over within five minutes near him.
The old elves thing could prove to be a nasty incident if Mindric decides to have them hunted down. That is rather the reason why they are leaving isn't it.
Oh, and I think that Rugo needs to find some Drahmine . . . probably spelled that horribly wrong. I wonder if he is going to wake up with a really nasty headache in the morning??
Oh and the elf thing. Well, you know the answer to that alreay, but it might be interesting to write it as "elve". New critter, maybe. |
Alteng 2005-05-31 . chapter 9So, Nyte isn't put off by the fact that Safia says that he didn't want to rule. I would think he would have had a hard time keeping his mouth shut about that one.
Poor Rupe! He is going to regret his decision of coming along and probably being alive.
The elf seems awfully chummy. Yeah, she has no idea about the Thallium, but she has acquired a fondness for Safia.
And it is still a kick with Nyte and the Ki-lins. |
