Verbal Essence 2004-06-16 . chapter 1
impressive
the rhyming is a bit iffy and could use a bit of work
punches are pretty decent, but i think you could do better
overall, nice job

Man, rock on! My teachers said the same thing when I started quoting Art Alexakis or any of my Rock heroes. It's not just rap, people don't respect songwriting at all. I've been a songwriter since I was fourteen, and my teachers never knew how to deal with it, no one did. People forget that our history, our unbiased accounts of true life, have been passed through song.
As for the actual song, I don't know, I wasn't with the whole Compton-esque gangster feel, but that's definately just me. You had a great Chuck D. cynic attitude in this, and I like the idea. Good job.

im not much into rap but I have to say thats insane. I used to freestyle and listen to rap, but I hated all the "lets get drunk and have sex" stuff. that isnt poetry. but this, what you wrote is. better than any rap I have ever heard. seriously, awesome job.

This is awesome!! I love the style...and I totally agree that rap is poetry. Although many may not think so, writing out stuff like this all comes from that poetic side of you...resulting in one kick ** rap song...and I really like this...great job!
