I am regretfully ignorant of the titles, names, and much of the kind of culture you refer to, but this was still an amazing beginning. Honestly, despite having read the chapter title, I was shocked when the blade came out broken. As Arrow has already formed a bond with this sword, I hope that this is somehow resolved in future chapters.
Your descriptions are very poetic and rich, though I was confused a few times in your description of the elders (paragraph 17). I found very few punctuation or grammatical errors. Wonderful work.
