First person writing usually sucks, but this rocks. The feel of the characters were perfect in the way that you wrote, and it was even in first person. This is the first short story that has made me cry, even if it was only a couple of tears. And this would be the one and only first person story that has made me cry, too. Keep writing! True, there are winter holidays, but one needs to keep the culture in mind when writing such peices. Anyways, enough of my bullcrap.
