Is this perhaps written from a real-life experience? It holds so much emotion. Some writers just write, but you, Carrie, write what you feel. That's why your poems are so wonderful, because they've got the emotion behind it. As always, I love what you've done in this poem.
There are a few spots where you seem to get a little wordy, something I see in a lot of your poems, but it's nothing too big that ruins the effectiveness of the poem.
