To wear a mask is to condemn yourself to a lifetime of pain. This is quite good.

i like how you state your point of view in this... you imply that we all wear masks (as i so believe) my fave line out of this poem has to be "look beyond the mask that i now wear, tell me that you understand, and that you care" that is the wish of so many people and you state it so perfectly.
