I'm surprised that you haven't updated or even posted on why you haven't. The story, though confusing, holds the right elements to be something really good. I do hope that you look passed the lack of reviews and continue to write this. It would be a pitty to let it go. I liked it, and I'll check back just in case you haven't completely given up on this.
