abuseGeniuses are loonies. My aunt is one- literally, but she's a psychiatrist. She's an extreme ** when it comes to common sense, heh.

haha. the whole part about being quiet reminds me of Austin Powers. "I've got a whole bag of 'shh', with your name on it."

Aha! 6. Clevah, Clevah. :-p

abuse:D I figured that I should come around and read some of my dear president's works~ As I don't think I have too much time, I decided to pick this one for its short length. ^^;

I felt that the second paragraph ("Dr. Papuccino was a genius . . .") was a rather long information dump that, at first, got on my nerves; it didn't bug me too much as I read on, though.

There was quite a bit of dialogue in this, though your descriptions were well-done with vivid words; they didn't drag on (like what I'm doing right now xD). This Papuccino seems to be a rather spontaneous figure; at first he seems to be a sinister sort of guy, but then he turns into a crazy, inane old anime-type sensei (though my teacher for AMST last year was actually a bit like Papuccino, just less violent and scary, but with the same sporadicness).

There was a minor inconsistency (this is my nitpickiness showing through) — sometimes you write out 667, and other times you only put in the number. It doesn't jar the reader too much, but you should pick one or the other.

I didn't quite understand the comparison in "The silence was like molasses." — how? I'm interpreting it as the silence was thick and oozing like molasses . . . o_o

I like the way you made "Hell's Tempest" end at bar 6. xD A nice touch, if I might add. I didn't quite understand Papuccino's motives; was he just doing everything to torture the musicians, or is this an inside joke?

Anywho, you told instead of showed in a couple instances (". . . intensely curious as to what the music must look like;" you pretty much described this in his actions so this part was a little redundant).

Apologies if this review doesn't seem coherent *bows*. I review as I'm reading, so if my train of thought derails and skips around like the jumprope a professional Double-Dutcher uses, try reading it along with the story.

All in all, an amusing read; the content fit the length and didn't leave me feeling that it was too short or too long. ^^

abuseThis was quite an interesting piece of work. An odd thing, I was just reading a synopsis of "Fujimi Orchestra" today(and I rarely read about orchestras...two in one day!) and tonight, I come across this story, which is very unusual. You convey the unfocussed cacophony very well. Two things bothered me slightly. I think that you described the packing of the batons a little prematurely and I think it would be better added at the end before Papuccino leaves, and then there was the use of the term wannabes. This piece has a timeless quality and I thought that term detracted just a little. I love the name Papuccino and "Hell's Tempest" is a great name for his opus. This story shows a lot of originality, imagination and writing ability. You've got style.
