| Scrappity 2005-05-09 ch 1, anon. | abuseSuperb! I love this SO much! The way you kept repeating the sound of machinery, birds, and music was slightly unnerving. Yet the ending had a touch of humor about it, and I loved that part too. What really bothers me is the why everything disappeared. Stories like this can keep me awake at night, wondering. I just guess that I am more curious than any cat I know of. But of course, its emigma is also one of this stories' most attractive aspects, and it is startling for such an unassuming title. It is really a shame that you havent posted anything since last year, and I just hope you resume pretty soon. |
| dawningfear 2004-11-24 ch 1, | abuseVery clever. Effective descriptive language throughout the piece. The third last paragraph is particularly interesting, what a neat way to show a person's shifting composure. The second last paragraph was well done too; I was quite fond of the line about the stars winking out. Your last line was wicked, in all senses of the word. Thoroughly entertaining piece ^^ Keep on, and best of luck with publishing Fever Dream. |
| xerosphere 2004-07-08 ch 1, anon. | abuseHahaha. Referencing that Arther C. Clarke story, right? The descriptiveness was good and the first person+present tense made the sequence of events more immediate and engaging. Liked the way you left the story open-ended without explaining exactly what happened. |
| An Inside Joke 2004-06-25 ch 1, | abuseVery descriptive. I like the way it ended- kind of on a creepy note. |
| Rionarayne 2004-06-14 ch 1, | abuseMarvelous. Quite an intersting take on an intriguing thought. The great attention to detail makes the reader wonder what really would happen if something like that ever really did occur, and it actually did make my think about it for a second. One of my all-time favorite short stories, 5 stars. Rionarayne |
