Oh Matthew...this is so touching and emotional. I personally think, that no matter how hard we try, we can never rid ourselves of the pain of letting go. We can repress it or hide it within ourselves, but it stays with us always. You captured that well here. The rhyming on the third to last stanza is a bit off, but (as always), you did a nice job my friend.

How to you take 26 letters, the english language and mold it into this? Something that seems to talk to my soul; That makes me think and smile all at once. The structure appeals to me. This is really good, but then again... it's you... so that's expected.

Beautiful... I really like what you've done with the rhymes. It doesn't detract anything from the piece, rather, adds a new level.
