Beautiful, utterly beautiful. Loved the one line "...today could be your last day, or even worse ... *his* last day" ahh! Such emmtion in that one sentence!
The descriptions were beautiful. It's refreshing to finally read someone who draws a picture so finely. The intro was honest, and miles away from anything cliche. Oh, and i must say that the time period is great! Never read anything written for this setting. And I'm always one for historical-terran stories. ^_^
