I can relate. I like the butterfly metaphor.

I really like it, espcially the second stanza. The "we chased butterflies" part is really beautiful-meaningful it seems. But it feels to me that it should maybe have been longer-more parts like that. But the next stanza goes with it...so it would be difficult. But I think it's good this way, I really like it.

You repeat "perfect" twice in the first and last stanzas... this coud be intentional, but I think it might sound better with a little more variation in your words.
