Jnorris 2005-02-17 ch 1, anon. | abuseI noticed that the rhyming pattern somewhat varied throughout the poem which gave an interesting reading to it. I liked how it reflected thoughts and feelings that an actual, real live soldier would have. I also wondered how many of them have this go through their minds as they are about to go off to war. While the differing rhyming patterns can add interest, it can also distract attention from the words written and confuse the reader, so I would suggest that the author be careful when writing. Strong words were Death's unwavering meesenger, Oft-forgotten grace of Mercy, Martyrdom, etc. |
