It's hard being in the middle, isn't it? Both people expect you to side with them, and neutrality isn't an option.
I really like this one; the style is a bit different from what you usually do, and it seems a lot calmer. Breaking it into sections like that really enhances what you have to say. Saying "this time" gives a feeling of continuation, of weariness caused by endless repetition of actions.
Looking at the last few works you've put out, I think you grew up & matured while I wasn't looking. Your writing's always been excellent, but the attitude expressed within them before seemed to lack understanding of other people. Now.. I am impressed more than ever before.
And also, I'm sorry I haven't been reviewing much lately. I hardly ever get on FPC anymore. I still am in awe of your writing skills, and I hope you write a lot more.
