As a novelist I usually have trouble believing that a single emotion, a single thought, such a subtle story can be summarized in such a concise manner. Or maybe novelists are poets that just don't know how to shut up...

This poem brings to mind a book I checked out from the library once, a book on poetry written during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 against the communists. I would recommend to you to pick up a volume of these, they are some of the most powerful poems I have ever read and a lot of your poems have the same feel.

Amazing. Subtle, yet meaningful. I really enjoyed it along with much your other work.
