I'm a vegan, and I wasn't offended at all! I thought that this was a nice random story, and quite enjoyed the characters. Even though we're only reading about them for a few hundred words, it's clear whose personality is whose and it's fun to read their interactions!
On the other hand, there's no need to overly characterize them. In such a short story, it's entirely unnecessary to include descriptions of the characters in such depth-- after all, these descriptions end up longer than the actual narrative! This can be rather boring, and makes it seem like the reader got less than they did.
