Although I agree with your issue I found this really really really poorly written. Far too amateurish, it came out more like a rant. And remember: never put entire words in caps unless its a significant title. Your 15, not 5.

I agree completely with everything "Proving a Point" said. As he or she stated "caucasian" is not a culture. There is nothing wrong with starting a club to celebrate your heritage, but as someone else stated... when the Europeans came to the "new world" they breeded with the Indians who had already been here and then with their African slaves, so who could really tell all that you're mixed with? I also agree with another reviewer who stated that you get to celebrate being white everyday. When you go to school, in history... one always learns about "great men"... yes, but "great" WHITE men. I disagree with "The Zaniak" about the "Black club" comment. An African-American club, maybe, but no one with good sense would start a "Black club". And no, nonwhites have, in no way, more privileges than whites. Although things are changing whites remain the dominant race and the majority. Your comment about how if one race wasn't a majority of the poor, another would be. Why aren't whites the majority of the poor, then? Rather than afro-americans and/or latinos? If we, as afro-americans [and yes, I am], had more rights that whites, we wouldn't be forced to live in slums and ghettos. As for affirmative action, I both agree and disagree with it. It does give minorities and women something of an advantage, but then if it didn't exist, how many old white men who own billions of dollars worth of companies and stuck in their old ways would actually think to hire a black or latino man? Or a woman of any color, creed, whatever. Point is... yes, racism against whites does exist, but the whites need to brush it off, because the white "race" did "start it". So now you have to deal with it. And again, as Proving a Point stated, you might wanna do a little more research before you try to write something like this again. Really. There's also a quote in the Bible, I can't quite remember it but basically what it says is everything your ancestors did wrong is still your responsibility. "...will be carried down seven generations" are part of the actual quote, word for word. So remember that next time you say something like "I shouldn't be punished for what my ancestors did to yours." or Why should I be held responsible for the actions of people years before I was even born? I don't agree with what they did, but no way will I pay for it, because I DIDN'T DO IT." as call me artificial put it. Like I said, the caucasians did indeed "start it" and now you have to stew in your own brew.

I partially agree. I agree that it's stupid that a Caucasian club got shut down where a Black club wouldn't, however I completely disagree with the idea of a Black Club or a Caucasian club in the first place.
And I think that "Latino Film Festivals" mean that it's films in the Latino style. Ditto with Asian art etc. What exactly is the "Caucasian Art" style? European art, I'd agree with, but not "Caucasian art." Asian can refer to the region as well as the race.

Well, I agree and disagree with the statements you have made here. Let's start with the ones I agree with:
Yes, there is racism against whites. I'm mostly white myself (Irish, German, Italian, Blackfoot, Cherokee, Spanish, English. . .) and I've seen it and, at times, experienced it. But, also, every race gets discriminated against. So that's nothing new. But it is glossed over more when non-white people make racist remarks to white people. It upsets me just as much as any other type of racism, and really should be acknowledged with more, outrage be damned.
Also, I agree with the whole "ancestors" thing. Why should I be held responsible for the actions of people years before I was even born? I don't agree with what they did, but no way will I pay for it, because I DIDN'T DO IT. So deal.
I disagree with the statements about Asians/Latinos/black having more privileges than whites do. Uh, wrong. The dominating force in America is still the white, heterosexual male. Deal with it.
Also- Eminem isn't a "wigger," as one other reviwer pointed out. He really is from the ghetto, born n' raised in Detroit. An example of a "wigger" would be. . .have you ever seen Meet the Parents? If you have, and know about the character Denny, there's a pretty accurate example of a "wigger."
So, all in all- excellent topic for an essay. More of a rant, though, definitely needs to be rewritten, with sources cited, etc., but interesting topic. All it comes down to is racism is wrong, no matter who it's against.

You are so right! In North America, all the black and asian people are able to start clubs based on race, but if we do it, everyone harasses us like heck and everything!

Yeah, anyhow I agree with you almost completely. However, I'm not part of any minority group, but I still see some racism going on.
Example 1: When I was 9, I was going to some garage sale with my grandma and as we pulled up to the curb, she glanced at the house, turned to my grandad, and said "No, keep going, we don't want none of that stuff. They're black people."
Example 2: Yesterday night, my aunt's friend had a discussion about how Cleveland city schools were a disgrace and no one wanted their kids going to school with "those black kids".
Also, the kids called "wiggers" are usually called that for acting like they live in the "ghetto" when they live in some nice, calm suburb.
Other then that, I totally agree with this. If people would stop with the ridiculous lawsuits and complaining about racism and slavery, life would be oh so much more peaceful! Yeah..I'm done now. Great essay! Farewell! -me-

Interesting. I think you have a point, but there's two sides to every story. Here in Australia people often complain about the special priveleges given to Aboriginal people, like Abstudy (study grants). On the other hand, the state of Aboriginal health is abysmal, their infant mortality rate is higher, far more Aboriginal people die in custody than white etc.
I support the existance of programs which exist specifically to help minorities, but I agree that it is hypocritical for things like 'Caucasian clubs' to be banned (unless the club had some sort of White Supremicist agenda). There is no such thing as 'reverse racism'. Racism is racism.

I don't see the relevance of that last comment. Today's climate of political correctness, while annoying at times, is a far cry from a world where all books are forbidden.

I certainly agree with the sentiment, but I have to take issue with the fact that you're swearing - albeit mildly - in an article you marked 'G'. If you're going to do that, you need to mark it at least PG.

To cite the perfect example-
At my school we are no longer allowed to call 'Black boards' black boards. We have to call them chalk boards. However, the school has not changed the name of the white boards to pen boards. I definetly agree with you, so much of racism is because of people trying so hard to be PC that they really have cause to think about how they act in front of a person of another race.
WE shouldn't single people out and categorise them.
A good essay, and I think this is also true for other types of predujuice. Like how women are aloud to be sexist agaisn't men, but men aren't agaisn't women. Which are fing incredibly annoying even though I am female!

Racism in rural North Dakota/ Minnesota doesnt go unpunished. I live in rural Minnesota, and racial prejuidice is not extremely normal.

Minnesota may have an extremely low minority rate, but that doesnt make the majority racial hating monsters. Hell, most of the racism to taken account is actually nationalism.. eg: Germans, not liking Swedes.

Trust me, dropping the N word (why do we give that word so much power?) in school does go punished. Teachers are very strict on racism.
