Last time I checked you had quite a few favorite authors. Shoddy work for a frame up, especially when there's an unknown quantity envolved.

This is wonderfully written and is rather intriguing. You have a very good style which maintains a fast pace at all times and your descriptive passages effectively create good imagery. I hope that you continue and am eager to keep on reading this unusually well-written story.

Involving! I truly adored the setting. I attempted a similar piece myself and decided to check yours out.
Theres alot to pick out and re-read, which I will do shortly. On first glance I have to say that what struck most was the excellent dialogue and pace. Nice padronance of vocab, adding a refined touch, GJ.
Lauren Raven 2004-06-29 . chapter 1
I like this; very few writers can write historical pieces, let alone with the authenticity and skill you manage. Excellently done; the description is vivid, and the characters are so well personified I can relate to them even if they're only alive a few paragraphs. Well-written; and thanks for the review. Keep writing. I'd add you to my favorites list if it wasn't full...perhaps I will kick some people off...
metropolis noir 2004-06-27 . chapter 2
The Roman army depictions are really well done! Looking forward to future installments!
metropolis noir 2004-06-26 . chapter 1
That was a really good depiction of a battle scene. I liked how you chose to go from one part of the battle to another, and the description of the trampling was really good. Please, write more soon!

Nice. I like it. I just wish I could write this well, but, maybe one day. Definantaly cant wait to read the rest
Blade Marilyn 2004-06-24 . chapter 1
Wow, that's good. It's so grim and brutal -- just like a real war. I hate when they portray war as something noble. And I think I know what it was that destroyed the legion -- a dragon? I'm just guessing. Write more, please!
P.S.-- um...Actually, I'm not addicted to celebrity magazines at all! ^__^ But I know FAR too many people who are *cough* Jennifer Tomasello *cough*, so I decided to make fun of it. Celebrity hype scares me. :(

*looks through dictionary for a proper adjective* Bah, a splendid piece! Wonderfully gory and keep true with Roman tactics. The tortise formation was a favorite of mine, I always thought it particularly brilliant. You bring to life the none-so-pleasent experience that is being IN one very well. Good imagery at the beginning what with the curiasses groaning in protest. Choice material.
