Reviews For: That Song Again
The Prettiest Banana 2007-11-29 . chapter 1
aww. I love that song, and I love this poem. Beautifully written.
Frodo 2005-04-12 . chapter 1
I really like the album Dizzy Up the Girl, and "Iris" is really a great song. It is a very romantic, ballad type song, and it definitly does have the power to make you thing about love. I enjoyed your poem. The poem was very elegently (sp) written, and you did a good job of seperating the lyrics from your own writing and making it all work. Lovely job.

As tearful and angsty it is, it made me come back to it. I read it once more. And it hurt. When writing makes the reader cry, either there's something wrong with the reader, or the writer's very good at his job.
I'll let you pick on this one. ;)
Canadian university, eh? I've been in Canada for about a month now. Same reason - study.
Well, wish you all the best in your uni.

Letters to No One 2004-07-15 . chapter 1
Wow. I really like this. I can relate 100% and I love the song you based this on. It's quite intresting how you use the basic idea of some of the lines from the song and changed them just slightly. Kudos!

I just realised...
I'm so sorry if I offended you in any way in my last review. That was not my intention.
Maybe I used too many of your words in what I said. Forgive me if I've been rude.
Your words enveloping that song are brilliant... just brilliant.
(No, I'm not just saying that)

Dancing Waters 2004-06-25 . chapter 1
'And I'd give up forever to touch you/ Cause I know that you feel me somehow/ You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be/ And I don't want to go home right now'
Beautiful beautiful song, and your work... simply wonderful. I feel your pain (a cliche again, but we writers love them, don't we?)
Your words make me cry. They're powerful. So poignant are your feelings that they touch the souls that read your words.
It's true: To love and be loved, and then to let go is hard. But you find satisfaction in that that they loved you too. But it is much harder to let go if you love someone who never knew you loved them. You go insane.
'Remember, and look to the rising sun,
And smile once more.'
The sun always rises, yes, but these blind eyes can't see. The light of the sun simply does not exist.
The cords strike and only create mere echos of the past memories. And these memories hurt because they are all too familiar, strung up whenever those same cords are heard.
I've said a bit too much, I think.
Your work is, nevertheless, fantastic.

This is a beautiful, well structured poem and such a flow and the words, the memories it brings up are so poignant and vivid... The play of words, the capitalization of certain words...it's fantastic.
Don't Give Up. Now or Forever...
