I loved this story, and I'm glad that I stayed with it through the entire story. You're right, there IS room for a sequel. This is one of THOSE stories. It's easy to say that this is the end, but if you do a sequel, it either becomes a more enhanced story or a less enhanced one [the sequel's either good or bad].
Keep writing, and if you feel it in your hands, DO THAT SEQUEL!

There's something bothering me. If you happened to witness the ressurection of a god, would you simply go of to do your job afterwards? I think that bit is unrealistic.
