Reviews For: Analysis

yep, I absolutely agree with you! sometimes it's just important, that you FEEL something while reading a piece of poetry! it does not have to rhyme or to fit into any form - just make you feel in a certain way! so, I always hated school for making me dislike some poems because I just couldn't read them anymore due to over-analysing it!
so THANK YOU for this little piece and it's great message!

This makes a strong point. I also find FictionPress annoying when it comes to poetry because poetry needs form and the words have to be placed in a certain way but FictionPress just shoves all the words to the left. Poetry is a kind of art and FictionPress comes along and violates it. GO YOU! Maybe someone should inform FictionPress that the best things come in small packages.

Hmm so true. As my last English teacher said during our final creative projects, never explain what you meant to say. The journey of discovery is a trip in itself. Overanalysis is definitely a common mistake. The feeling is paramount. I find it somewhat funny that fictionpress has a minimum wordcount. William Carlos Williams is not as good a poet as we thought ;)
