Reviews for Not What It Seems
Red Orchid 9/17/04 . chapter 1
Forgive them because they love you. Your wrong they do know you and that's why they assume your future will be fruitful. Have faith, with time things do get better. That's why your still holding on. Death is final. Once you face it there is no going back.

This is truly moving and has touched me deeply. I have read your profile page on both your accounts and am planning to read more of your poetry, and I would like to say so much, but let me sum it up in the sentence that I just feel like hugging you and holding you close even though I don't know you. My heart really goes out to you, and if I knew you I would accept you just for who you are, I know about this shit of judging Goths just because of the way they dress, and I can't stand it. My best friend is a Goth and I would call myself one even though I don't dress in black (it doesn't suit me ;-)). Anyway, back to the point. This text is really powerful, and the Evanescence quotes in the end fit in really well, especially the one from "Tourniquet". Perhaps you should mark them as quotes so no-one can accuse you of plagiarism, it doesn't bother me for sure, but someone might criticize that. Anyway, the emotions in this are very honest and intense, and I like it. The last sentence really drives the point home effectively. I'm going to have a look at your other works. ;-)
