Reviews For: I sing of Patriots loud and dumb
CURE-Karasu 2006-05-25 . chapter 1
*Applauds you until her hands hurt*

I think that you had every right as a US citizen to write this. Ever heard of free speach?? Also, the anonymous person had every right to state their opinion. They just did it the wrong way. You, however, replied in the right way. Clarification.

I agree with the way you see things (I take it that you're a very open-minded person??), and I think that this poem was brilliant.

People just need to grow a backbone before they attack (and cuss!!) others.

I'm still applauding you, dahling!!

stupid anonymous flamers. do they have any purpose besides that of agravating others?your poem is beautiful. your anonymous annoyance is the hypocrite.
Nanners 2005-01-03 . chapter 1
Flames suck, they really do, and they suck even MORE when the person who is flaming flames anonymously. You handled that all very maturely considering the circumstances (I probably would have written a twelve page rant about flaming in general that made little sense because I was angry, and then posted it, unedited, on fictionpress. All in all, I think I like your method better), and if it means anything at all, I don't think you are a hypocrite.

Oh, and what "Anon." said about the poem not really being a poem just an opinion, well, a lot of pomes ARE opinions. That's what poetry is, isn't it--a way to present ones opinions and feelings and thoughts to the world at large.

Now, to the poem. I liked it, especially after reading your whole big long explanation to the evil anonymous flamer. For one thing, it had a really nice rhythem to it, and for another, I liked the message.

So keep up the good work, and don't let evil mean flamers get you down. (Flamers should be somehow gotten rid of, they are so icky!).

Sorry this is so long and rambly. Au revoir!

I like the poem; it has a message. but the fact that you had to double the length of the document by adding the reply to that review... shame you had to do that.

awesome poem. i feel the same way.

Look, my opinion on this probably doesn't matter anyway. I'm a miner and couldn't vote--even if I wanted to. But, I'm going to give it out anyway.
Personally, I wouldn't vote for either candidate running this year. BUT, if forced to choose between them, yes, I would probably vote for Bush. If only because I think that the only thing Kerry can do for this war is put America on the wrong end of it.
This does NOT, however, mean to any extent that I follow all of Bush's claims either. Personally, I don't believe in any polition. What I DO think is that if people blow us up, Bush will hit them back and harder. Kerry will not. Pacifism isn't going to work here.
I am not a raciest, I do not think that the majority of the Middle East or the majority of people following the Islamic religion are terrorist. I think that it's best to look at it from BOTH sides.
For example, I could go for some of the stuff that liberals stand for. Like, if there were no war, and the issue that people were working for or against was gay marrage, and the Democrat was for it and the Republican was against it, yes. I would vote Democrat. However, that is not the only thing on the line this year. And I would like to feel confidant that if someone blows me up, something's going to be done in retrubution.
This was not a flame, just so you know. I don't beleive in flaming and I CERTAINLY don't beleive in annonomous flaming. This was simply my opinion. (Which again, as a member of this country under eighteen years of age, doesn't count for much.) Thank you for your time. I have signed this review, so feel free to email me if you have any problem when what I have said.

I don't think you're a hypocrite, if that means anything. Anyways i liked the poem and agreed with the message it had. It's unfortunate that you were flamed like that, it does no good to insult peole like that-plus it kind of makes the flamer look like a total ass. Nice poem, keep writing.

It's hilarous to see people who would jump on a guy who calls a few democrats names and even gives a warning about offensive comments names while you jump on a guy for not liking to be called loud and dumb. Grow up! I'm sick of all of it. It is no wonder only liberals write poems nowadays. Meanwhile you spread around complete lies of your own. Clinton, Kerry, Chirac, and Robert Byrd all said Saddam was a threat to America too, why aren't THEY liars? Yeah, some Bush followers are arrogant and stupid jerks on here, but sheesh!

I love it. Good message, well written, just great all around. I don't care what that moron said, this is an amazing poem! Keep writing!

This is a good poem. That anonymous review is a cruel and possibly against the site's TOS. No one should be insulting anyone like that for any reason.
Anon 2004-07-30 . chapter 1
Oh please, your hypocrisy makes me sick. Quick question: Who accused opponents of being un-American: Teresa Heinz Kerry or Laura Bush? Surprise-surprise, it's Kerry. The fact that you can be so damn STUPID as to call others ignorant when you're so disturbingly UNAWARE of the situation yourself. I bet you can't tell me ONE THING the Patriot Act ACTUALLY DOES (besides the demonizing 'restricting our freedoms' tripe the democrats have forced down our throats.) Honestly, whenever I try to debate it with someone, they name all these things that fall under other laws.
In other words: Stop trying to stand on the moral high ground, you self-contradicting idiot. We know you like to portray Bush-supporters as blindly obedient republicans, but the fact is that more often than not, Bush-opposers are blindly enraged democrats who can't think clearly enough to push a solid policy speech past their mush-mouthed FACES. The only thing we know about Kerry is 'he wouldn't do things the way Bush did them' and yet somehow he remains ahead in the polls, thanks to you hypnotized, ignorant sheep, who think they're thinking independently. Idiots.
Oh, and this isn't a poem, loser. This is an opinion chopped into a poem in an act of incredible arrogance and pretentiousness. God, I hate people like you.
Taizerra 2004-07-30 . chapter 1
Who says kids wont care? I'm a kid and I know exactly what you mean. Those people make me angry too. Though my understanding of this is most likely less than yours, I get what you mean. What makes me even angrier is a live with a family of these patriots, and I hate it. It seems like my aunt is the only one who actually understands it all, and, frankly, I'm glad I inherited her sense of understanding...if thats what you call it.

That was soo good, you portrayed a really strong message in it also, you should write more like this. It was really good and a strong message came though too. Well done. If you have some time check out my story India, thanks and well done.

This poem is just one of the many poems I'm happy to see on this site. I'm glad people realize how dangerous this government truly is. wonderfully written, and rant line is needed in a poem such as this one.
