This is one of the very few poems which truly touched me. I recognize all the feelings you describe, and truly enjoyed the powerful impressions of nature which you depict. Very, very good (and I rarely say that). I would change one line only, the one that says "shadow looming in the distance" - "looming", to me, gives me the impression of something close, threatening - distance negated that impression. Excellent work!
