| sara 2005-02-17 ch 1, anon. | abusei'm guessing that this has melody- if it is anything like this song/poem, you've got yourself a hit. the way you used "a kiss" was ingenious. a loss of words, and a broken heart are both much more powerful ways of goodbye than a real kiss, but the way you worked in a kiss, which very often is important, was really impressive. Through reading and writing, i've come to notice that the best works come from experience, and i can pretty confidently guess that that was no different from this piece. Also, the way you tie in the ending..."your last kiss to me" really justifies the rest of the piece.i believe poetry is all too often misread, as a gushy, mushy, realistically emotionless genre of writing, but again, all too often, there really is no other was of saying what we've "feared" of. |

| William Winters 2004-08-13 ch 1, | abuseVery touching. This one, actually, didn't have an electric guitar sound to it. It had more of an acoustic being played sparsely, with recorded sound effects softly in the back to give it a real feel (sounds of passing conversation, maybe a bit of traffic outside), and the only doninating sound is the singer's voice (yours, I would think). If my description isn't very clear, try listening to "Paranoid Eyes" by Pink Floyd. This is yet another excellent piece. Hope you feel better about the whole affair. Break-ups suck :-) |
