The story was really amazing. It may have been a bit feel-good with Jase and Mikey but well... it served its fluffy purpose. I love the voices in Kin's head btw.

storyline is decent, and there are some good points but you really need to work harder at gauging people's reactions...sometimes it's just too: dude, he would never have said that...

If you know what I mean. You bring up some really interestingly complex issues like Kin's dilemma over Gabbi's acciendent or Jase's HIV but you don't put enough thought into the reactions of others and everything is resolved too simplistically.

Just as an example to illustrate what I mean...looking at Jase and Mike. So Mike is in love with Jase who's pretty well a **. Okay, nice little unrequited love thing going on. Then Jase is diagnosed with HIV. Realising he's going to die, he runs back to Mike who accepts him with open arms. What you have to see is that while yes, everyone wants to see them get together in the end, you lose interest and complexity when things are so easily resolved. Jase is going to have some serious reconsidering going on, especially in regards to his lifestyle...he's not going to just jump at the first person to comfort him, even if that person is his best friend. Mike too is going to have to reconsider his feelings for Jase, HIV throws a rather large spanner in the works...plus there's the whole "I realised I love you only because I'm about to die and you're my source of comfort" thing which is really not flattering to Mike at all. Especially considering the fact that Jase really hasn't considered him at all before this as anything other than a good **.

I'm sorry I can't really explain myself better in a review. Plus I'm tired so yeah...whatever... But you have serious potential. Keep working at it.

Read the whole thing today. It was awesome, different pace from the "A Kiss That Plainly Said", lol I read that first but didn't get a chance to comment because I wanted to read the sequel. The stories were effin awesome but I have to tell you, I like Blaiz and Dustin's story better. I guess it's just a matter of preference. I guess I just sympathize with the character too much that it hurts to see them sad and confused about who they are and have to go through all that hardship. Now, there's just something very poetic about someone who doesn't believe in love and watch them fall, figuratively and literally, lol, and that's what I really loved about Blaize and Dustin. It was a great read. "Kiss Me Proper" is a good read too. Both stories I've read from you are awesome and I'm glad someone's recommended this at the forum I belong to. lol, sorry if I reviewed for both stories in this one post, your stories just left me happy and content that my brain is in kind of a haze right now, that I don't have a lot of smart things to say, and I think I've rambled on far enough. Great stories, kudos to you!

This story tis kinda really funny for me cuz... lol lets see my uncles are gay and have been for all my life... my sisters a les.. and me? well my mums not going to get any grandkids thats for sure. But, your story tis pretty well writen

I must say, I just read this today and was very pleased with it. I loved the overall character development (very round, I HATE flat characters) though I felt that the physical descriptions were slightly lacking (in "A Kiss that Plainly Said" you used more descriptions, I noticed you drifted form thast in this story). My only question is where did Kin tell Brian that he was gay -it is possible that I accidentlly skipped that part, this is going on 72 hours without sleep of cofee- because it seems like one day Kin says "I have to tell my dad" and then his dad magically knows. I do hope that there are a few more chapters to this tale! I want to see how it all ties together, for a while, I was worried that you were going to kill Kayla and Brian off (in the beginning, you seemed to have stressed the fact that Blaiz and Dustin were the God-parents and then at one point mentioned that they had always wanted to adopt, but were never able to)! Anyway, this was REALLY a good story! I hope that the review didn't sound too cold, I am your newest addict to the story!

Um, the SF Cheesecake Factory on top of Macy's doesn't take reservations. Duh. Nice try dropping names of "cool" places in the Bay Area, though. Haight, Telegraph, SF Cheesecake Factory, hm...wonder what's next? The Golden Gate Bridge?

Damn. I was looking forward to another update from you. There's still a few more things in the Kinnley-Darren relationship that needs to be tied up, but if you feel that this is as far 'Kiss Me Proper' will go, then I respect your decision, since I enjoyed the story from the start.
