"Even though the US is ahead, I'm feeling behind" and "Is the (R)ich for one less beggar on the street?" are among the best lines. The opening line, too, in fact, was brilliant too. Hawthorne would roll in his grave.

I think the poem is very well written. A few of the lines drag on a bit, but mostly it flows nicely. Can't say I agree with your views, but thats not the point. No comment on your hastiness against whos in power -- but anyways, nice choice of words.

I LOVE IT! I can just hear someone rapping it out (though I havent heard any political rappers of late). Makes a very good point.

i totally know what you're saying, but i mean we're gonna be here for a while and i nkow the choices aren't great but until the right person comes along maybe you could choose the lesser of two evils? meh, just though i'd say something... back to the poem! I really love the last 2 lines. The whole poem is good though. strong piece.
