Jessica Renee 2004-09-01 . chapter 1This is Jessica. Well...I think you know that. I'm brutal and honest but in a good way? Hmm I think that's the first time anybody has added the good way to that. Usually it's just brutally honest. :) I decided I would review even though I already told you what I thought of it. Anyway, I was reading it and I realized when I read the last chapter when you described Aadam in the summary of LDR when I think annoying, outgoing jock a couple of guys come to school in mind and they're all popular so I guess I assumed Adam was popular. I like in this one how he's described as the not-so-popular jock. It isn't too much of a cliché...you know the "geeky girl" and "popular jock" falling in love. Anyway, I liked it, but if I'm being honest there...there was ONE thing that bugged me. It was this:
"Not just any rule, though. I broke the #1 rule at Eldon High School. Never, under any circumstances, date a person who is not of your own race. The unspoken yet abided by rule."
It seems kinda shallow, you know, to only date someone of your race. I mean, they obviously didn't break up because of their race. I guess I don't think race matters...like at all. Anyway, I'm guessing they'll overcome that whole thing though and learn that race doesn't really matter. I mean their backgrounds will be different, you know, but...I'm losing my train of thought here. Anyway, I liked it and I'm interested to see where you're going with it. Well I think those were all my thoughts. I'll talk to you later. |
