First, let me say that I am very, very flattered that my story has inspired such a great poem from you. I was happy with a review ( though I'm not quite sure to be flattered or ashamed of my work from what you wrote :P ) but this poem is just grand. Thank you.
"Pain is all you feel as you awake
Blood on your face, perfectly caked
You feel your gut drop down to the floor
You're to tired to pick it up anymore
Walking in the cold, the sun beautiful
Reassured you'll go on
What is left at the beauty of dawn."
I loved that stanza, the imagery is simply beautiful.
