I'm writing a fantastical adaption of the Journey to the West myself, so I thought I'd check this out.

Seems just like the Japanese manga, Saiyuki, as far as the caharacters go, but I really like it. As others have said, this is certainly a loose adaption, but the way you began it with Sun Wukong/Goku (why are you using their Japanese names, btw?) being at the mountain, and then Sanzo coming along and whatnot. . .

Anyway, I'm really loving it! I wish you'd update it soon!

Wu Kong = SEX SLAVE ROFLMAO~! XD It's nice to know that there are others out there who like to twist his character even more than I do. XD Anyway, back to the fic, good writing, but I don't quite like the characterizations. Um... Don't worry, there's nothing wrong actually, just a matter of personal preference. This is just loosely based on Xiyouji, right? So, yeah, basically nothing wrong there. Just maybe TOO loosely based for my tastes (read = OOC XDD *sigh* Never mind) I think I'd like it more if San Zhang was still a guy though, coz I like yaoi stuff and there are like ZERO yaoi Wu Kong/San Zhang fics out there. Goku/Sanzo doesn't count. And... why the sudden cuddle? It struck me as kinda abrupt and somewhat OOC. *swt* I dunno... The monkey boy doesn't seem to me to be the cuddly type... Not to say I don't like it... In fact I love Wu Kong love! cuddle! hug! scenes, but perhaps not that soon, and after more developments between the two? *swt* By the way, I prefer long hair Wu Kong. XDD But it's your story, so never mind that. XD Anyway, the modern feel you guys give this story works quite well in some parts... and not quite well in the others... For example, Chapter 2 > Chapter 3. YOu get my drift. XD

But, all in all, not a bad story, and I'm sure there are others out there who like this, and *getting to the point*:

Ok, what I mean is, I have this website about Xiyouji, the work your story is based on, and apart from in-depth info, biographies, all that stuff, I also have a page archiving Xiyouji fanfiction. I have a couple of works up there by myself (one of them is a crossover with Yu Gi Oh though). I thought maybe, you could allow me to put your fic up there too? I'd prefer to directly link fictionpress than your website, as it seems that you have only two chapters up there, as opposed to four chapters here.
