So far this is fantastic! Extremely engaging, well-written, and even if it is based off a true story it's quite original. The only confusing part (and this might just be ignorance on my part) is why, when he's in the living room, he still answers the phone by saying "Allen City Morgue." Does that mean there's a back room, or attached apartment, or something?
