wow...i really like this poem. the acuteness of losing is truly painful, especially in the olympics. hey, i'll look forward to your participation in the olympics!

I was particulary captivated by the Olympics this year... this poem has a melancholy feel to it, it's really tough when you go so far and still fall just short of success. My favorite lines were "cheated you were/of the glory of the sun" A wonderful poem, you are a talented writer (and swimmer as well, it seems!). Good luck to you in all that you do.
