Creepy, but I like it. You see death as an inexorable, haunting presence - I think that's interesting. (I always thought death was just a body losing all its spirit energy, chi, whatever you want to call it; not negative, just neutral.) My favorite part is "occasionally I wonder,/Iwonder what you think when I step out". This shows your, shall we say, familiarity with that shinigami on the wall. Interesting...
