Another thing about time etravel that could cause problems is the sheer movment of space. Let's say you are going to travel back in time, but remain in the same point space wise. Well, everything around you will have moved, and you would be stuck in the middle of space. The earth is rotating, it never stops. The solar system is moving through the galaxy very fast, and the galaxies themselves are flying apart at alarming speeds. And who knows even about the universe as a whole? Unless it is possible to anchor yourself to one body, like planet earth, while time-traveling, one would be left in the dust. Space dust, that it...
Loved the essay. You should write a story based on it, about characters who make the unfortunate choice of messing with time travel.
