Yes a B, there is a certain novelty to it at first but it gets choppy and disconnected the second time. Well, it's true that villains have a tendency to start a monologue of their evil plans. (This is a WELL KNOWN cliche!) I've only ever known one movie the villain wins, and that was Jeepers Creepers. Sadly, they destroyed it with a sequel that shows him tacked to the wall of a farm house... *Sheesh*

Yeah. The scriptwriters just can't be creative and let the hero LOSE for once.

I would have thought this a good, insightful essay if I hadn't recognised elements from the list "The Top 100 Things I'd Do If I Ever Became an Evil Overlord" (http://w.absolutewrite.com/specialty_writing/overlord.htm) which is a copyrighted work. I regret to inform you that I will be reporting this, as I have great respect for the person who wrote the original list. If I am just being paranoid though and this is indeed your own creation, I believe there is a process where you can challenge a report. I just don't want to let this slip through the cracks, since copyright infringement is a very serious offense to me.

Wasn't there a list about being a villian that had all of these ideas and more on it? I remember the "never shout 'I am invincible,'" the "last cigarette, last kiss, etc." and more, and I read that list months ago. So my question is did you write said list, or rip it off? If it's the latter, don't claim that all of these ideas are "original," because they're not.

LOL! It's nice to see original ideas like this out there. I must say you have a point...it does seem the villain has become the underdog! What happened to the days of Shakespeare's Iago? (if you've ever read Othello you'll know what I mean, and if not just think of the bird in Aladdin, as they're basically the same character)
