Cute, but it could use a lot of polishing. Sentence structure, missing commas, etc. all need some work. But I liked it, and the ending is sweet.
I'm not sure how The In-Laws' kosher needs ties into the rest of the story, except that Mrs. Jones is thinking of it when Maggie comes home. Keep unnecessary details as uncomplicated as possible. Some things seem a little stereotypical here, but it's a great first draft.
