I'm too blown away to think of an original review. All I could say right now is - that was beautiful.
Queen Anabella 2006-03-12 . chapter 1
That was simply amazing. Your story was so incredibly beautiful. As you described the piece you were playing, I felt my heart speed up with the notes.
Winged Shadow 2006-01-25 . chapter 1
Wonderful. A truly great piece of work. Perfect.

... except for one thing. When you put down "[name]'s hands ..." at the beginning of paragraph five, it kind of brought me out of the story. I don't know ... I think if you just made up a name it would've worked better. Or if you wanted to keep everything nameless, maybe just put "his hands".

? Just my one, insignificant little complaint about it.

elfmaid 2005-08-06 . chapter 1
Really absorbing. I half-wanted to stop reading to look for an mp3 of that song, but I couldn't tear myself away.

I love the voice this is written in -- it's very crisp and clean. The descriptions of the music are great. I really like this little story. =) I want to know more about the people with those fascinatingly self-revealing hands. Who are they, really?

Anywho, keep up the good work.

Wow.

Wow this was beautiful, really intense. Wow...You gave the reader a feeling of awe and made me very absorbed simply by your descriptions. This is amazing. I don't know what else to say.
Matryoshka 2005-03-27 . chapter 1
Amazing. That was so beautiful, so extraordinarily well-written! I was truly astonished that someone as good as you existed on Fictionpress--good writers have been few and far between.

This piece was incredibly wonderful and flowed extremely well. I play the piano, too, so the emphasis on pianists' hands and the keys was very well-placed. You have also gotten me very interested in this "Tristesse" piece--Chopin is one of my favorite composers, and I am dying to hear it.

Superb writing.
Darkhymns 2005-02-26 . chapter 1
This is a really beautiful piece. The words just grab me, and the piano playing is so beautiful in description. Another for the favorites.
Boadicia 2004-11-09 . chapter 1
This was a beautiful, beautiful piece!
Music is always incredibly inspiring -- I attempted to write a poem about the piano as well, but it came out no where near this one! Maybe I should look into this piece...it sounds very beautiful.
Hwesta 2004-11-08 . chapter 1
Beautiful. The last line was especially powerful. I liked the way you divided it up, though sometimes the divsions were a a bit abrupt. I think it would flow better if the [name]s were replaced with fictitous names. Still, it's a moving, descriptive story, one that sent shivers down my spine.
Nickolaus Pacione 2004-10-20 . chapter 1
I speak as a horror writer who did some creative nonfiction of my own when I say this, you did a descent job writing this one. Nonfiction is harder to review than fanfiction would be, but what can one say of a story like this -- it was one of the most creative I've seen in this genre on FictionPress.com. You have an extremely artistic voice when it comes to this kind of thing.
