that is a really good short story. i like the way how the fire just captures the whole of his attention, even blocks out his senses for a while. Also i think the last line gives it that extra touch 'And death was the fire's final gift to him. '

Omg. Are you a pyro? I know that in the summary it said your friends are, but it kinda seems like you are too. I have a really good friend who's a pyro- majorly.
Don't get me wrong. Your story's great. I can't tell if it's a one shot or if there's going to be more of it. I think you should write more. This is really good, and a longer story would be fun to read and critique.
