Don't you listen to that "blah" person! This preface is beautifully written.

I like the amount of detail and the descriptions of the sisters and their actions. The words give the story a feeling of hushed respect, and the characters do indeed seem like ghosts, gliding and flitting through the abandoned temple.

I suppose I should also give criticism, but all I can manage is changing "simple ornateness" (paragraph 8), which seems like an oxymoron.
